Robert B. "Mr. Bob" Grider
Owner and Speech Pathologist
Bob has been a medical speech pathologist in private practice for almost 40 years. He holds a masters degree in speech pathology from Eastern Illinois University. He has completed continuing education in voice evaluation and care, fluency disorders, oral myofunctional disorders, myofascial evaluation and care, and oral motor speech evaluation and therapy. He has continued an avocational study in areas of brain science, learning science, behavior and muscle function.
He holds certification in speech pathology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, license for speech pathology in the state of Minnesota, membership in Minnesota Speech Language Hearing Association, and membership in the International Association of Orofacial Myology. He also participates with his voice colleagues in the MN Voice Colloquium.
In April, 2022, Bob received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Minnesota Speech Language Hearing Association at their annual meeting.
Bob is a voracious reader, and in his off time he enjoys reading a wide range of genres. He is an accomplished potter, avid woodworker, and enjoys talking about big ideas with his adult children over a delicious weekend brunch.
Wrangler of Insurance
Marti comes to Minnesota Voice & Speech Clinic with a wide range of experience in billiing and administrative responsibilities from years in advertising and running her own small business. She has been the office manager at Minnesota Voice & Speech Clinic since 2011.
Outside the office, Marti enjoys throwing and handbuilding pottery, sewing, knitting, working in her garden, and yoga. She is the mother of one adult and loves being an emeritus parent.
